On Thursday afternoon, October 14, the Montgomery County Planning Board will review two related Capital Crescent Trail projects (#11 on the agenda) that, when completed, will provide much-needed bicycle and pedestrian connections in Bethesda.
The first project, Capital Crescent surface trail Phase two, is the extension of the Capital Crescent Surface Trail along the east side 47th Street, between Elm Street and Willow Lane.
The second project, Capital Crescent trail under MD 355, is construction of a grade-separated trail connecting the future Capital Crescent civic green to the Purple Line via a tunnel under Wisconsin Avenue and Elm Street and then to a portal in Elm Street Park.
Community members are invited to participate in the board's review in any of the following ways:

- provide real time testimony via Microsoft Teams or over the phone during the meeting. To testify, fill out the Sign up to testify form by 12 noon on the day before the meeting; and
- email written testimony to mcp-chair@mncppc-mc.org by 12 noon on the day before the meeting.
